The Art of Giving Back

facepainting3

A strong sense of community and support for the arts are some of the main reasons why I moved my family 25 years ago from sunny San Diego, California to a beautiful small resort town nestled in the central mountains of Idaho. Folded within this all-American 'strong community' comes a lot non-profit organizations and community service opportunities for giving back. As a prominent local artist, at times I am inundated with requests for … [Read more...]

tallest mountain in idaho, mount borah

Where ever my travels take me, I always seem to find artistic inspiration. Many of my readers may never get … [Read more...]

The Incredible Camouflage Wallpaper Art of Emma Hack

unusual_body_art_04

While surfing for inspiration on the Internet, I found the remarkable 'wallpaper art' of Emma Hack. Although this 'live installation art' is not frame-able, it is fine nonetheless. Using some of Australia's most beautiful bodies as her canvas, Emma's paintings take anywhere from 8 - 14 hours, depending on the complexity of the design. It is an exhausting process for the artist and subject alike; however the results are nothing short of spectacular. Enjoy. You … [Read more...]
