Thought you might be interested in another medium. I use imported handmade Japanese paper to “paint”. It’s difficult getting the same effects that you can achieve using watercolors or oil, since the paper doesn’t “flow” with the delicacy of paint. However, it’s challenging and rewarding. I posted 6 of my pictures under Fan Photos on Fine Art Tips so you can see for yourself. Thank you for all your wonderful tips, and your absolutely fantastic art.
Hi Barbara – thanks for taking time to comment and follow me on Facebook too! I appreciate your feedback and sharing your unusual medium with us. You my favorite is the one with the bird (of course)…amazing no paint was used.
Feel free to submit a guest article about your ‘painting’ process working with paper. It would be interesting for others to learn about and I will link to your website. You can find the submit page under the contact button my this homepage.

Lori Good idea!!, very interesting your new FB website, thanks.
About Etsy, is a very dynamic and agile site. And always in continuous growth in sales and strategies to sell more. What I like about this great community is to give you much support. They will provide many tools, are continually offering tips to sellers to promote their work and sell more. You feel very supported. I recently received a tip in their newsletter, that it stuck with me and always I have in mind and that is to promote your work the more visible you are better, people will stumble with you, that sentence made me funny.
It is a site where you find talented people who make beautiful things. And behind every shop there is a story of someone who has surged ahead, having started with few resources. They are stories that move me and inspire.
Etsy is more specialized for artisans, but also there are artists like me, we like to be there. My experience is short, recently I opened my Etsy shop and even I have to promote my shop, inside, in the Etsy forums, and also in social networks and in high-traffic pages, etc.
I hope you understand everything, you know I’m studying English but I am a student a bit slow, he, he.
Best regards
Ana

I recently read an article of yours in the artists magazine. I would like to know if the facebook fan page is a free service and would you recommend a place to start for an artist websight. I love your paintings and just read some of your information on this websight and it is very helpful and inspiring.
Thanks.
Cynthia
Hello Cynthia,
Yes, Facebook is free! That is the beauty of it. It is best to have a blog or website too, but a fan page is a great place to start promoting you art. Thank you for the nice words.
